
Dylan Hunter Chee Greene is an Asian American producer, instrumentalist, improvisor and composer from the ocean islands in the Pacific and Atlantic. With a background training in Western classical, neo-classical percussion, and Ghanaian Ashanti Kete drumming, Dylan got his start in the NYC contemporary world, recording and performing with artists such as Oracle Hysterical, Contemporaneous, Mark Morris Dance Company, grammy award winning A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra and Sō Percussion, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Bessie winning choreographers, Rebecca Lazier and Christopher Williams, and MacArthur awardee, Matt Aucoin. After fellowships with Onebeat, Bang On A Can, and the Peabody Essex Museum, Chee has gone on to collaborate with personal mentors and musical elders such as Shahzad Ismaily, Maryam Saleh, Elliot Cole, Maurice Louca, Isaac Hernandez, Kamilya Jubran, Ali Hout, José Duluc, Doug and Brad Balliet.
With a drive and desire to honor the ancestral lineage of rhythm, he has over the years drawn closer to sound as the medium itself and now spends a majority of time in the worlds of improvised music, Jazz, Electronic, and Arabic classical adjacent. In 2024, he produced and released a debut vinyl with Sonic Interventions entitled ‘Do You Remember?’ on Agogo records as well as ‘Ishtirak’ on Thawra records and began performing his solo project, Half Home.
