S-iREN (Spatially-Induced Reality Expanding Noises) is Jake Mehew and Henry Weekes, a duo that use modular synthesis and instrumental performances to reimagine the sounds heard in the world around them, which culminated in their debut album radical rest retreat.

Radical Rest Retreat is an exploration of what S-iREN (Jake Mehew and Henry Weekes) describe as "sonic-fiction," a concept introduced by Kodwo Eshun that crafts narratives around sound to reflect and reshape identity. Developed through residencies with Audio Technica, Analogue Foundation, and Brewery Studios, the album represents a unique fusion of ambient music, electronica, and free improvisation. The result is a powerful auditory experience that invites personal interpretation and deep emotional engagement.

For their live performances, S-iREN uses their practices stated above to create site-specific improvised performances that fuse the synthesised modular sounds, live woodwinds (saxophone / flutes) as well as the unique qualities of the spaces where the performances are taking place.
